Description
The role will be involved in the data collection and analysis to enable carbon footprint reports and carbon reduction plans to be completed and implemented.
The role is to become an apprenticedata analyst and carbon consultant. This will involve:
- Gathering initial dataset.
- Performing calculations of carbon footprints.
- Completing data improvement plans.
- Completing carbon reduction plans.
- Explaining to clients the ISO and BSI standards for carbon related reports.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs within the business from both a financial and carbon emissions viewpoint.
- Identify opportunities to cross sell partner company services.
- Keep up to date on technical changes to requirements and accounting disclosure changes.
GCSE maths and english essential as the role will involve data analysis and review as well as report writing.
Training to be provided
Data Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard:
The successful candidate will undertake an eighteen-month, nationally recognised qualification through TDM. This is a work-based learning programme which will require commitment to block weeks in an online training room once every quarter working towards the qualification along with weekly off the job training and monthly coaching sessions.
You will be required to demonstrate through the standard that you meet all competencies and behaviours, which will lead to the achievement of the qualification. These block weeks will take place at either of our training centres, in Birmingham or Worcester, whichever is more suitable for your location.
You will have a designated mentor in the workplace to support your learning and at the end of programme will be assessed via an external assessment body.
This is a Level 3 qualification.

- Data Basics – Communicating
- Data Basics – Context
- Data Analyst Associate
Carbon and sustainability is a huge area, the employee will learn about this area and have the opportunity to develop niche areas of expertise. Learning will also be provided to enable the employee to set Science Based Targets in line with the Paris agreement and subsequent climate legislation

This is an initial role within the company and a stepping stone on the company’s growth path. Once the apprenticeship is completed there is the opportunity to stay and grow within the company as the company grows, and specialise in an area that is going to grow over the coming years.

Working week Monday to Friday 09.00 - 17.30 – occasional weekend work if deadlines demand
