Data Analyst, Data Manipulation, Analytical Graduate, Excel, Reading, Mainly Remote
Data Analyst required to work for a large Professional Services company based in Reading. However, you will only be required to work in the office circa 2 times per month, so it will be mainly remote. You MUST be able to get to Reading on the days required and it will be at your expense. This is a 6 month contract initially, INSIDE of IR35 and will pay circa £150-160 per day. Bear in mind, there will be additional cost stripped out of the pay rate when processed via an Umbrella company. The rate is ALL IN, including holiday pay etc. Also, we need someone as close to being immediately available as possible.
We need an Excel Wizard! We need someone who can create pivot tables etc and who has a real strong eye for data. You must be a data enthusiast and if you are an Analytical Graduate (such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics etc), you would need to have some commercial experience, maybe as an Intern or during a gap-year (for instance).
Lastly, 2 weeks on you will start at 07:00 and finish at 15:15. The following 2 weeks will be 09:00 – 17:15. There will also be the odd couple of hours to be worked on a Saturday morning but you will either gain this time in lieu or you will be financially compensated.

Responsibilities:
· Import/export/set up of data in systems along with data manipulation and analysis.
· Carry out first-line support tasks on software we provide technical support on.
· Contribute to and encourage knowledge documentation and sharing in the Support team with resolution of calls.
· Proactively analyse, identify and remedy potential issues with software as part of the support process.
· Work with the others to carry out software and file integration testing.
· Check for any issues with the operation of the new applications with the existing system software and applications.
· Contribute to the smooth running of the team by following business processes of integration and automation and helping to improve those processes.
Experience required:
· MS Office skills must be competent overall, but strong in Excel (essential)
· Using MS Excel, must be able to analyse, manipulate and check large amounts of data quickly using in-built tools such as copy/paste values, text to column, filtering, sorting, lookups, conditional formatting, tables, pivot tables (essential)
· Excellent attitude with real get up and go, willingness to learn and hard working ethic

- Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset
- Strong communication skills to effectively present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Note: Experience with analytics platforms like vaticinate is a plus.
