Cyber Security Professional
As our Cyber Security Professional within our Operations unit you’ll put your technical knowledge and skillset into action by fault finding and diagnosing complex security network issues, end to end, ensuring minimal operational impact.
Your collaborative style of working will see you working with various teams across security, customer representatives, vendors and support staff to ensure a customer focused service delivery approach.
You’ll also deliver and implement new and existing products across a range of technologies including Cisco and F5.
This role will require Security Clearance and operate on a 24/7 shift rotation.
Location: Manchester, Birmingham or London as primary locations, however open to consider base locations across UK.
- Manage the delivery of the security infrastructure and services to provide identity and trust solutions, managed security services and secure network infrastructure for BT and its customers
- Lead conference bridges to troubleshoot major/complicated security incidents and issues
- Liaise with designers and other SMEs to fault/problem find
- Produce and support Firewall policies, functions and configuration builds to allow implementation of customer projects
- Provide technical/specialist security advice and recommendations to support proactive risk management and reactive incident management to lines of Business within BT and external customers
- Manage incidents and deliver changes on a variety of technologies within a customer’s environment and within agreed SLAs
- Monitor / Update incident tickets and change tickets within SLA
- Complete and own integration testing on new products and services, producing all relevant supporting documentation
- Supports security compliance relationships with national Government or industry bodies
- Provide input to internal & external monthly reports
- Knowledge of Security management, network and information security, people security and running of one or more services within a Security Operations Centre
- Demonstrable back ground in complex fault handling, including good customer facing diagnostic skills
- Cisco and CheckPoint Firewall skills
- Competent F5 Skills
- Strong knowledge of IP Protocols
- Accreditation or Certification either to CISSP, Cisco CCNA, CCNP or CCSP
- Accreditation or Certification to either Checkpoint CCSA or CCSE
