Cyber Security Consultant - Security Vulnerability

Location: Birmingham

Please Note: Due to the nature of client work you will be undertaking, you will need to be willing to go through a Security Clearance process as part of this , which requires 5+ years UK address history at the point of application.

In our team you will learn:

  • Gain experience in managing the configuration of protected systems to ensure that any vulnerabilities are understood and managed.

  • Scanning technologies and remediation processes to Accenture and client standards

As a Security Vulnerability Management Analyst, you will have:

  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures

  • Experience in protecting information systems and assets by identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in cloud, operating systems, software, systems and networks.

  • Experience with configuring and using Security scanning tools such as Qualys, Nessus, Endpoint security

  • Minimum 2 year of hands-on security related experience in AWS and Azure cloud technologies.

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:

  • Managing reports of vulnerabilities in software and hardware, and research potential vulnerabilities in systems

  • Propose and implement mitigations for identified vulnerabilities

  • Write and deliver client vulnerability reports

  • Assessing new vulnerabilities, investigating solutions, and recommending controls to minimise risks

  • Familiar with running infrastructure, network and application vulnerability scans

  • Provide support to and work directly with support teams/client teams on vulnerability remediation.

  • Using scanning tools and utilities, such as Qualys, NMAP, Nessus, Retina

  • Tracking of onboarding and decommissioning devices and maintaining an asset database

  • Work with our internal compliance and external auditors
