This role is not necessarily based in the UK. As being part of our international Corporate IT team, it is possible to work from any place in the EMEA region where Dentsply Sirona is located.
Cyber Security Analyst
The Cyber Security Analyst will be primarily responsible for investigating and responding to security events, both active and inactive, via multiple sources including EDR, SIEM, and email based. They will also be responsible for working with our Cyber Security Program while supporting activities related to development and maintenance of policies, standards, procedures, and controls, as well as Control Framework assessments and evaluation. Additionally, the Cyber Security Analyst will be working with the broader security team to mature our program, assess security risks, and communicate/facilitate remediation of those risks.
Key responsibilities:
- Continuously monitor security systems and take immediate remediation actions
- Research threat actors, tactics, techniques, procedures, malware, and other IOCs
- Audit, create, and manage firewall rules
- Manage endpoint detection and response as well as antimalware programs
- Perform event correlation analysis on potential threats identified through a SIEM tool
- Implement security measures and operate software to protect systems, data, and infrastructure, including firewalls and data encryption
- Work with other technology teams to assess the security posture of new system implementations
- Act as a technical point of contact during escalated security events
- Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management
- Take part in any security-oriented projects or critical initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems, Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or equivalent professional experience
- 4+ years of experience in the administration of information systems with at least 2 years of formal experience in cyber security
- Preferably with certifications/licensing such as COMPTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, GIAC Security Essentials, CCNA Security
- Must have excellent English written and spoken communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical people
- Must have excellent technical research skills
- Must have a technical working knowledge of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, EDR, antimalware, penetration testing, vulnerability scans, ACLs, and IDS/IPS concepts
- Ideally experienced in Cloud Security for Microsoft AZURE, Amazon Web Services, and/or Google Cloud
- Structured and clear thinker – ability to prioritize a demanding workload through business planning and territory management
