About the role
As a L2 Cyber Security Analyst, you will work within our Security team where you will have access to a wide array of tooling and services at your disposal. You will be responsible for conducting security investigations, responding to security incidents, and the continual improvement of the security posture for both Aspire and its customers.
What you will be doing –
- Solving complex problems which have been escalated by L1 analysts
- Supporting the incident response team to deliver on smaller sub-tasks during nightshifts related to Digital Forensics, Malware Analysis and Threat Intelligence.
- Documenting and delivering security processes and procedures.
- Developing Security Operations Centre use-cases and helping to expand on all security offerings across the business.
- Support on training & development of L1 analysts
You will suit the role if you have –
- Experience developing and using a SIEM platform e.g. Splunk, Google Chronicle, Elastic, Exabeam, Azure Sentinel.
- Experience with managing and operating EDR platforms i.e. Crowdstrike, SentinelOne, MDE, Sophos XDR etc.
- Experience with vulnerability management processes and tooling, i.e. Tenable, Qualys etc.
- Experience with threat hunting methodology and practical threat hunting processes and methods.
- Previous experience of working within a 24x7 SOC
The following certificates are advantageous but not essential:
- BTL1
- TryHackMe Level 1
- SANS / GIACs

Salary
Starting salary £40k to £51k per annum (depending on experience, including 15% shift allowance)

Location and Working Arrangements
You will be based at Aspire’s Gateshead Head Office with travel as required.
Hours of Work
Shift Work - 4 on 4 off pattern, 44 hours per week.
