Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst

Contract Duration: 6 months – INSIDE IR35

Location: London/Hybrid

Job Summary:

A reputable company based in the finance industry is looking for a Cyber Security Analyst to join their growing cyber security team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and mitigating potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities, ensuring the security of our systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a deep understanding of cyber security concepts, technologies, and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans of our systems and networks
  • Investigate security incidents and breaches, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Monitor security systems and alerts, and respond to security incidents in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met in new projects and initiatives
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest security technologies, trends, and threats
  • Perform risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, GDPR)

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in cyber security
  • Familiarity with security technologies and tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, SIEM, etc. (Microsoft Azure/Splunk/Log Rhythm/Palo Alto)
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO, CIS, etc.
  • Knowledge of security standards and regulations (e.g., PCI, HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, etc.) are a plus
