We take huge pride in our past – but we’re looking to the future as an airline that loves embracing the best of modern Britain. Our country’s creativity, diversity, style, wit and warmth are the same special qualities that make us who we are. If you’re made of the same qualities as us, you could soon be part of the next chapter of our story. Together as one team, we’re connecting Britain with the world and the world to Britain like no one else

About the Role

British Airways is seeking a dynamic individual to step into the role of Cyber Product Owner for Protect. In this key position, you will champion the security of our digital landscape, collaborating closely with BA colleagues, the BA Cyber Team, and IAG Tech to create robust product visions, strategies, and roadmaps. If you possess a deep domain understanding, an interest in defining requirements and important metrics, and a passion for ensuring our digital defences are impenetrable, then this is the opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: As the Cyber Product Owner for Protect, you will provide technical cyber leadership across all of BA's defensive cyber security products, including CrowdStrike, Defender, Snyk, and ForcePoint. Your expertise will be the driving force behind cohesive and effective security solutions.
  • Strategic Vision: You will craft product visions, strategies, and roadmaps that align seamlessly with the IAG Group and support emerging use cases within the BA business, ensuring our protective measures remain ahead of the curve.
  • Innovative Implementation: By evaluating, implementing, and communicating new protective tools and features, you will enhance our security posture while continuously measuring the performance of both new and existing tools.
  • Architectural Excellence: You will create and maintain reference architectures, patterns, and guidance for BA's security products, developing hardening standards and configuration baselines to fortify our security tools.
  • Integrated Defence: Leading cyber reviews, you will ensure that our security tools operate harmoniously to provide integrated layers of defence and consistent global protection.

About You:

  • Highly analytical with a methodical and structured approach, you possess a keen eye for detail.
  • An excellent communicator, you have the remarkable ability to translate complex technical issues into understandable insights for partners at all levels.
  • Proficient in reviewing security reference architectures, patterns, and guidance.
  • A strategic problem solver with the ability to recognize priorities and guide others towards achieving strategic business goals and objectives.
  • Eager to learn and embrace new technologies.

In this role, you will be the guardian of our digital fort, shaping the future of cyber security at British Airways. Your expertise will safeguard our systems, passengers, and data, ensuring the skies remain secure. Join us and embark on a journey where innovation meets security, and your capabilities define a new era of digital protection.

Our Corporate and Support roles come with big potential to make your mark on our business. The airline industry changes so fast that we’re constantly evolving and finding new ways to impress customers and get ahead of our competitors. If you’re an innovator and brave and bold thinker, you will be in your element at British Airways.

Your impact on British Airways will be rewarded with a competitive rewards package plus the opportunity to develop and progress your career in many directions.

Not only will you have the chance to further your career development within BA, you’ll have access to our competitive reward and benefits package. Inclusion and diversity is a key driver of innovation and we’re committed to creating a culture where everyone feels that they can be themselves. We’re looking for people from all backgrounds and cultures to join us and be a part of our journey to become a Better BA as we continue to connect Britain with the world and the world with Britain.
