Claire House Children’s Hospice helps seriously and terminally ill children make the most of the time they have however long or short that may be. By providing specialist nursing and end of life care, as well as emotional support Claire House helps families through some of the toughest times of their lives.
Overview:
We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice.
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Level 4 Cyber Security Risk Analyst Apprenticeship.
24-month, Fixed Term Contract.
Salary:
£20,315 per annum.
Main purpose of the role:
To support the Business Relationship Manager in ensuring we plan and test our Business Continuity Plan in the eventuality of a cyber-attack or data breach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular testing and random mock scenarios to ensure that all IT policies are being adhered to
- Ensure training is kept up to date and that you are keeping up to date with regular developments in cyber and information security
- Deliver training and promote good use of technology
- Ensure the business continuity plan is regularly reviewed and updated
- Work with all business areas to provide all IT information for subject access request in the most efficient way and in a readable format
- Attend the formal IT CAB to ensure that all changes adhere to IT policies and that security risk has been assessed and mitigated
- Carry out regular audits on our systems to ensure compliance with data protection rules and retention policies

What we are looking for:
Desired skills and qualities:
- Experience or passion for working in IT department
- Excellent IT skills including O365 and Excel
- Excellent communication skills - the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
A DBS check will also be carried out.

Entry requirements:
- an A Level in ICT
- OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 in ICT
- OR a Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
- OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

37.5hrs a week.
