Job title: Cutting Shop Semi Skilled Operative
Position: Full Time – 38 hours per week (Monday to Friday 07.30am to 16.00pm)

We design, manufacture and supply our wide and varied product range, from our base in Capel Hendre, near Swansea at the end of the M4 in South Wales. Most of our processes are in house; we laser-cut, press, fabricate, weld and also powder coat, along with the assembly and distribution of our products, throughout the UK and Worldwide.
Vacancy:
A great opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced, Cutting Shop / Semi Skilled Operator to join our busy production team, working on the company’s varied product ranges.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsible for cutting & kitting materials/components for production, grinding steel product to prepare for galvanising or production in accordance with our quality system and meeting the quality requirement of the company’s product.
· Use various hand & automated tools & equipment to cut & prepare steel sections & components for fabrication, following drawing specification and achieving a high level of accuracy and quality.
· Kit components from drawings into production bays.
· Use air & electric grinding tools to prepare steelwork for galvanising & fabrication, ensuring that the correct level of finish required is achieved for the company’s product range.
Qualifications and Skills
· The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience to operate machines & hand tools for cutting, grinding & drilling.
· Experience of working in a busy production environment and a time driven work attitude is required
· Ability to work under own initiative
· Must be reliable and punctual
· Ability to understand CAD drawings
Experience of driving a forklift / side loader an advantage
Experience of powder coating an advantage
· Experience in finishing metal products an advantage
Salary/Benefits :
£11.19 p/h plus after successful completion of a 3 month probationary period, inclusion into the monthly productivity incentive scheme – typically an additional £0.85 on top of the hourly rate.
· Annual leave – First year, 20 days + bank holidays, thereafter 25 days + bank holidays
