The Role:
This role will manage all import and export declarations of goods for the Group worldwide. The role is based within the Compliance department which is a vital role in ensuring the business is compliant with international trade agreements and Customs legislation. The demands placed on this service orientated department make this a busy and challenging position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· Liaising with UK customs teams to ensure documentation is received and compliant.
· Reconciliation of monthly data from HMRC, manage the reporting of customs data and internal systems for KPI’s.
· Produce KPI reports for the Head of Logistics and yearly reports for the SAO.
· Actively keeping updated with customs procedures in legislation and trade agreements.
· Responsible for all general enquiries from internal & external stakeholders relating to Customs Procedures, Tariff Classifications, Duty Rates, and any other documentation requirements.
· Certify the calculation of duty and VAT is accurately reflected in the entry acceptance.
· Manages current technical knowledge with any changes in regulations, laws, and customs procedures.
· Ensure all HMRC duty liabilities and fulfilled, minimising cost.
· Checking the yearly tariff regulations published by HMRC.
· Ad hoc tasks as and when required by the line manager.

Skills & Knowledge Required:
· Knowledge of import and export documentation handling.
· Ability to work at a fast pace on multiple tasks.
· Excellent prioritisation skills with the ability to identify new priorities and adapt plans accordingly.
· Proven ability in producing accurate work with attention to detail.
· Computer literate with excellent knowledge of Word and Excel.
· Excellent communication skills; written and verbal, with the ability to structure technical information to ensure stakeholders understand the key message/s.
· Proven ability of delivering excellent customer service.
Other:
· Flexibility to travel when required.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
