Role Summary:
Contact Solar offers added-value to customers by providing industry-leading pre and post-sales Technical Support on the entire product portfolio. This requires a full understanding of the technical applications of our product portfolio, the requirements of our customers and awareness of the relevant UK regulations and guidance. The successful candidate will have a strong, clear telephone manner and also be able to communicate through clear, literate emails. They should be good at fault-finding, solving problems and must be a team player who will share knowledge with their colleagues, and help translate it to our customers. Typically, you may have studied renewable energy or have a background in technical/electrical engineering field. Minimum of 2 years Solar PV & Battery Storage experience is required.
Responsibilities:
· Telephone & email technical support to Contact Solar’s customers relating to pre and post-sale queries, consisting of design advice, planning, application and troubleshooting.
· Health & Safety comencement calls
· Installation completion calls
· Help with queries relating to firmware/communication/settings/fault finding/troubleshooting
· Ongoing development of product/industry/regulatory knowledge
· Share knowledge with colleagues
· People skills and ability to manage customer expectations
· Follow RMA processes where appropriate
· Liaise with manufacturer technical teams when required
Key competencies:
· The ideal candidate will need to be thorough and have good organisation and prioritisation skills.
· They will have a strong electrical background with technical/installation experience in some or all of solar PV, ESS and EV charging
· Excellent, confident, telephone manner and communication skills (written and verbal)
· Strong electrical background – installation experience an advantage
· Working technical knowledge of Solar PV, ESS and EV charging
· Organisational and prioritisation skills
· Computer literate and ability to use CRM system
· Process driven
· Team player
· Technically minded
· Retention of technical facts
· Positive, can-do, problem solver
· Ability to give clear instruction
· Patience and appreciation of customer on-site experience

Work Schedule :
- Mon - Tues 9am - 5.30pm
- Wed - Thurs - 9am- 5pm
- Fri - 9am - 4pm
- No weekends

Salary: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
