Customer Support Engineer

Type: Full-time, Remote (US, Canada, UK), London, United Kingdom

Salary: $60k - $80k, Competitive Equity

We are looking for a skilled Customer Support Engineer to join our team and ensure our customers' satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and planning skills as the role requires them to handle unexpected challenges daily. Additionally, the candidate should be comfortable with ambiguity and have the ability to drive best-in-class support ticket resolution times.

As a Customer Support Engineer, your key responsibilities will include responding to customer inquiries via email, phone, and chat, providing technical support by identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving product-related issues. You will also collaborate with the product development team to report and resolve bugs or other issues, maintain documentation and knowledge base articles, and continuously improve customer support processes and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Foundational knowledge of JavaScript or Python
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and products
  • Experience in technical support or a related field
  • Knowledge of basic programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL or NoSQL
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to handle customer inquiries with patience and empathy

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in technical support or a related field
  • 2+ years of customer support and startup company experience
  • Excellent in Excel
  • Industry certification such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ is a plus

Pay: £47,000.00-£63,500.00 per year
