Job Summary:

Customer Success Architects (CSAs) are the key members of Customer Success Team. They work closely with the Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Sales Team to ensure long term customer success. At EDB, CSAs are responsible for successful technical onboarding of new customers to drive customer value and solution adoption. Acting as the SMEs, CSAs offer best practices, participate in technical discussion, product demos, present solutions to solve complex problems, and work with other internal teams to escalate customer issues and concerns

This is a customer facing role to drive business value and customer growth, through technical account leadership. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in solutions engineering, onboarding, and other relevant experience along with technical expertise in relational database technologies.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the overall EDB's products and the competitive landscape
  • Responsible for successful technical onboarding of new customers.
  • Deliver product demos/presentation, office hours, and workshops to the customers.
  • Participate in technical/architecture discussions with customers.
  • Collaborate with technical support, engineering, and product management for timely escalation and tracking of customer issues, bug fixes, enhancement requests.
  • Develop technical onboarding contents, such as deployment instructions, technical videos, and publish blogs

Minimum Qualifications

BSc in Computer science (or, Computer/Electrical engineering) or, equivalent, and at least 8 years of direct experience in the following areas:

Customer facing skills

  • Ability to deliver technical product presentations
  • Ability to demonstrate technical products and their feature sets
  • Ability to understand customer's requirements and provide solutions

Database, Operating System, and Software skills

  • Relational database experience (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2).
  • Basic Linux system administration experience
  • Software installation & software troubleshooting experience
  • Good knowledge SQL, database & query tuning, troubleshooting and debugging techniques
  • Familiarity with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud native technologies

Good understanding of the following concepts in relation to databases

  • High Availability
  • Scalability
  • Security & related concepts
