Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships. As well as running the iconic Glasgow Subway, SPT delivers an extensive range of public transport services including bus stations and subsidised bus services, manages large transport infrastructure projects and is responsible for delivery of a long-term multi-modal transport strategy for the West of Scotland.
About the Role
Within the Customer Services department, focused on delivering the highest level of customer care to bus station users while working in a dynamic operational environment. We have a great opportunity to join the Bus Stations team.
Working collaboratively across the function, the Customer Services Officer will also support the Bus Station Supervisors to supervise staff and contractors. The Customer Services Officer will be required to compile reports, undertake regular bus station inspectors and report faults to deliver a safe, secure and clean environment for the public who access SPT’s bus stations.
About You
You will have experience in working in an environment where safety is the highest priority. You will have a background in delivering high levels of customer service and working in a customer facing/front line environment. You will also have experience in supervising staff, generating reports and be confident in using Microsoft Office Suite. You will be flexible and motivated to meet the needs of the business and have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written and work effectively as part of the Bus Stations team. A working knowledge of public transport within the Strathclyde area is desirable.
Full time hours will be 35 hours per week on a 5/7 shift basis. The earliest start at any location will be 06:00 hours with the latest finishing time being be 23:00 hours.
You will be based at Buchanan Bus Station however; you could be asked to work at various locations within SPT’s remit.
