We have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Customer Service Advisor based at the MOD at Whitehall headquarters in London, delivering facilities and estate management services.
Customer Service Advisor play an important role as a member of the Front of House team, this role is seen as crucial to the overall success of the operation of the contract. The Customer Service Advisor’s role will, over time, encompass all of the Front of House services by successfully completing multiskilling training provided.
The standard hours of work are 37.5 Per Week

You will be responsible for:
- Provision of an efficient reception service, welcoming visitors to the Main Building and providing advice and information regarding the range and levels of facilities within the building. Staff will be required to assist customers concerning the whereabouts of MOD staff and departments within the building.
- Answering calls from building users, categorise the calls in accordance to the priority and contract and to forward to the appropriate service provider. To follow up all urgent, H&S and security tasks and to ensure satisfactory completion. Calls are also taken to book meeting rooms, functions, conferences and exhibitions ensuring that all spaces are efficiently and effectively used to meet the customer’s requirements and achieve their objectives.
- Management of issue/collection of meeting room keys, monitoring meeting room use and to administer the use of business suite area.
- Staff are required to work on a rota basis between the hours of 8am and 6pm.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
- This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
