We have an exciting opportunity for a Customer Service Host to join our team at Bury St Edmunds Station on a part time basis, working 17.5 hours a week over 4 days (one week on, one week off) you will additionally pick up Sunday working.
The Role
The purpose of the role is to be the face of Greater Anglia, and to aid in creating a positive impression of the company whilst providing excellent customer service. As a Customer Service Host you will be in charge of the Gateline, ensuring passengers have the correct ticket when travelling and informing relevant teams regarding ticketless travel and fraud through your proactive monitoring. You will be providing ticket and journey information whilst providing passenger assistance on and off our trains.
Within the role, you will also be responsible for keeping the station safe and secure by carrying out security checks to ensure we are compliant with the DFT, fault reporting, keeping the station clean/tidy and carrying out winter protection duties as necessary – All whilst creating a welcoming environment for our passengers.
This position will require you to work a combination of early starts, late finishes, and weekends. Earliest shift time is from 05:00, and latest shift finishes by 19:30. The suitable candidate must be able to get to the early shifts by own means of transport.
