A bit about our Student Admin team…
Our School of Health & Society is one of the largest providers of nursing, midwifery and allied health professional education programmes in the UK, known for our track record of collaborating with a wide range of industry partners across health and social care to produce highly skilled graduates with real work experience. We are at an interesting time in the Higher Education sector, there is significant change in terms of oversight, student expectations and changing demographics and we are trying to do things differently so that we stay ahead of these changes.
So what will the role involve?
- Responsibility for reception area, including greeting customers and providing a positive and welcoming experience.
- Be the first point of call for all staff, students and visitors (internal and external) to the School.
- Triage student queries and work with colleagues to understand answers to frequently asked questions with a view to resolve queries accordingly.
- Welcome students, staff and visitors in the department and show them to where they need to be within the building and signpost them to other relevant departments and services.
- Take and receipt all deliveries to the building, and safely store them until these are collected.
- Book appointments for the public at the School clinics maintaining a high level of patient confidentiality and professionalism.
- Share best practice with other customer service roles both within and outside of the school and ensure a high-standard and consistent level of service for our customers.
It’s an exciting time to join Salford as we look to deliver significant improvements in service delivery across the university. The post holder will be based primarily on Frederick Road Campus. This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
