Project Assistant

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week

Location: West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2

Via currently has a fantastic part time opportunity in our Major Projects & Improvements Team as a Project Assistant based at our Trent Bridge House Office.

The successful candidates will support the project team in the delivery of major highway infrastructure improvement projects

The Job

Key areas of responsibility will include: -

  • Responsible for collating and storing documents relating to projects.
  • Providing financial support to project managers to enable progress to be monitored against budgets.
  • To liaise with and distribute project related information with the team and external third parties, assisting in collating, managing and publishing monthly project and programme reports.
  • Support project managers to coordinate internal and external parties, that form the project team, to achieve the project programme and outputs
  • Support project managers with communication, as an ambassador and contact for stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Management System Coordinator, ensuring that all documents are up to date and meet quality requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of a range of documentations for planning, land assembly, contracts and business cases
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety management systems, processes and requirements

The Person

Mainly you will be excited to be a vital part of our Major Projects & Improvements team, but there are just a few other things we’d like from you: -

  • Strong ICT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in document management or similar.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills, with experience of providing information, communicating and working collaboratively
  • Excellent attention to detail, reliable, well organized.
  • An understanding of the process of monitoring budgets and financial reporting.
  • Ability to take minutes and write reports.
