Job Title: Customer Service Advisor
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent. 40 hours per week. 5 days / 7, Monday to Saturday (Rotational Saturday day shift)
Hours/Shifts: 8.5hr shifts (1 hour for lunch) between 08:00 – 20:00 Monday to Friday / 08:00 – 16:30 on Saturday
Property: Edinburgh Gorgie Road
Direct Report: Assistant Scheme Manager
Salary: £21,500 - £22,300

The Customer Service Advisor will report to the Assistant Scheme Manager and will form part of the integral property team, supporting our customers daily and always ensuring that their safety is put first. In this role, you will be the face of the property and as such, should be proud of where you work and have a desire to help build an accepting, welcoming community.

Main duties/responsibilities
- Handling all manners of enquiries: from students, parents, universities and stakeholders in the business.
- Being accountable for timely responsiveness and taking appropriate action when receiving feedback from students, resolving issues either directly or indirectly to make sure a resolution is found or the issue is escalated in the right amount of time
- Perform and document regular inspections of resident’s flats
- Proactively handling sales enquiries, through phone, email, online and conducting viewings. There will also be occasions that you may attend housing fairs, university open days and other such activity in the city
- Recording any incidents or emergencies and reporting these to the necessary persons
- Taking responsibility for the receipt, logging and correct distribution of post and parcels
- Working with managers and partners to support our students` wellbeing should they find themselves in vulnerable or difficult situations
- Front of house and reception duties
- Organising events to create and build an inclusive community where our students can relax and be themselves
- Assisting the Scheme Manager and Assistant Scheme Manager in administrative tasks as required. These may include: Financial control tasks, student accounts control, compliance coordination; housekeeping lists etc
- Taking a responsibility for property presentation and maintaining a clean, tidy environment
Other Duties
- Assist with ad hoc requests as necessary for business needs especially at peak times such as student check-in and check-out weekends.
- Monitoring social media and updating our social media streams
- Receiving student payments
- Preparing written correspondence as requested by other members of management team
- Preparing arrival packs for new residents
- Publishing and distributing signage for notice boards around scheme
- Work with the marketing team to actively promote and explore new marketing avenues
- Ordering new office, cleaning and maintenance supplies
