Job Description: Customer Service Representative
Location: Hackney, London
Band: SC5
Responsibilities:
-To provide a first class professional customer service to residents and customers of London Borough of Hackney as a first point of contact
-To possess extensive technical knowledge of a wide range of functions, policies and procedures in order to resolve resident concerns and provide a one stop shop service.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries promptly and professionally
- Assist customers with account inquiries, transactions, and problem resolution
- Maintain accurate and detailed customer records
- Collaborate with other team members to analyze customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
- Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends to effectively address customer inquiries
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or a related field is a plus
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues
- Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite
- Familiarity with financial services and the ability to analyze market trends is a bonus
