Would you like to work in Liverpool City Centre as a Customer Service Advisor working Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm? This position is working for a highly successful and fast-growing insurance company set up in Liverpool in 1982 which now employs over 1400 staff in the UK.

This role is working in the team that takes calls from customers who have had accidents or similar incidents and want to make a claim on their insurance. This is a 'First Notification of Loss' handler role. You will use your accomplished communication skills to help the customer, take all the relevant details about their claim, record all the information accurately so that the business can process the claim quickly and efficiently.

The office is a stunning, recently renovated building right in the centre of the city, a stone's throw from John Lewis.

Benefits and Package for a Customer Service Advisor:

  • Salary: £10.80 per hour
    Once permanent, the starting salary is £21,000 per annum
    After 6 months you are eligible for a bonus up to £4,000, with the potential to earn £25,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am- 5.30pm
  • Contract: Temporary, with the opportunity to go permanent
  • Location: Liverpool City Centre

Key Responsibilities of a Customer Service Advisor:

  • Providing an empathetic service to clients who have been involved in an incident
  • Ensuring a professional and proactive response in assessing claims in line with the procedure
  • Identifying and initiating any potential recoveries from 3rd parties
  • Liaising with external companies and internal departments in order to process the customers claim
  • Resolving any issues avoiding expressions of dissatisfaction

Key Skills of a Customer Service Advisor:

  • Good IT skills
  • Able to make fast and informed decisions
  • Confident to deal with challenging customers and third-party insurers
  • Must be organised, have good negotiation skills and excellent customer service
  • Should be naturally empathetic with the ability to connect to people
