What aspects are involved in this role?
We are currently looking for a Customer Service Advisor to join our busy Customer Services team. In this role, you will be expected to deliver excellent service standards by acting as the front-line relation with customers across all channels and product categories.
The ideal candidate will have a bright and positive outlook with proven experience of working in a customer service role within an office based manufacturing environment.
Purpose of the job:
Guarantee a positive customer experience, ensuring quick and reliable follow up of all customer requests; for example orders, products, information, complaints, by answering in a timely manner and solving pro- actively any concern that might occur. This is a varied role comprising of logistics management, customer service and general clerical duties.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and visitors to site
- Respond to enquiries and resolve customer issues
- Signpost new customers to relevant team member
- Provide customer production and delivery updates
- Input sales orders on to system
- Booking hauliers on to the goods out calendar and goods in calendar
- Liaising with Hauliers regarding bookings
- Collect and document orders
- Inventory of spreadsheets
- Book appointments for customers
- Answer phone and emails to assist customers with changes to orders
- Assist customers in person
- Acknowledging customer complaints and report dissatisfaction/failures in line with procedures;
- Building strong relations with customers. Keeping them informed of the current status of their orders or answering any other queries that may rise
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customer accounts
- Problem solving
- Time management
- Administrative tasks as necessary
The Person:
- Good standard of practical Customer Service experience (>3 years)
- Minimum 2years experience with an SME manufacturing business would be beneficial
- He/she will show they have a professional and courteous attitude wxcellent interpersonal skills and a highly organised approach to their work - able to build and develop customer relationships
- Enthusiastic, energetic person with great phone manner and bright and cheerful outlook
- Has a 'can do' positive attitude, a cheerful self-starter and can think on his/her feet
- Independent and self-motivated, confident using initiative to deliver results
- Ability to prioritise & manage own workload
- Strong track record in a relevant administrative role that provides a solid understanding of the sales / customer arena.
- Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Math’s.
- Computer literate, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office software
- The successful candidate will have ideally have worked in the manufacturing sector
