Customer Service Advisor - Staines, Middlesex (TW18 3DZ) / Hybrid working once competent in role

£24,500 basic salary

Potential to increase up to £27,300 in 18 months, dependant on individual performance.

Permanent - Full time 37.5 hours per week

Shifts between 8am - 8pm Mon-Fri, 1 in 4 Saturdays 8am – 4pm

Your role

As a Customer Service Advisor, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers. That means you'll be the ears and voice of Bupa. You'll also need to be a friend, a trusted source of information and even a shoulder to cry on; touching the lives of strangers in an important way, every day.

Whether a customer is calling about a sprained ankle or a life-threatening illness, you will treat them with the same level of care and compassion.

And it won't always be easy. You will need to authorise or decline treatment in line with policy coverage. But, with the right balance of empathy and resilience, you can build a great career.

What you'll do

  • Support customer enquiries through both inbound and outbound calls, ensuring each customer has a great experience
  • Pre-authorise or decline treatment in line with Bupa policy coverage, responding with empathy at all times
  • Accurately maintain our customer database, ensuring all conversations and outcomes are recorded
  • Maintain high professional standards at all times and abide by all regulatory requirements

What you'll bring

A successful Customer Service Advisor will need:

  • Great listening and communication skills with the ability to respond with empathy
  • A mix of flexibility and resilience to deal with a variety of enquiries
  • Confidence using a PC and the ability to multitask
  • An enthusiastic, positive attitude with a real desire to help others
