The role
Do you have experience of delivering a high level of exceptional customer care? Do you have experience of responding to, and taking ownership of customer complaints over the phone and through written correspondence? Then this may be the job for you!
Our friendly, hardworking and highly customer focused Customer Service Team is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced individual to join them, to assist in responding to customer complaints in an efficient and professional way. You will be dealing with customers across multiple lines of business including Travel Insurance, Roadside and Home Assistance.
You will be responding to inbound calls and emails, ensuring information is accurately recorded on to our complaint management system. Using your exceptional communication skills, you will be able to write customer facing letters, including ‘Final Response letters’ when closing a case. You will be empathetic to customer situations whilst being comfortable holding difficult conversations.
You will establish through means of investigation and review that the outcome of any issues is fair and with a focus on quality.
Some of our services will be insurance regulated, therefore you will be working in line with the principles of TCF, DPA and Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) guidelines and specifically dispute resolution (DISP)
Hours: Thirty-five hours per week, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 6pm. These hours may vary in line with business needs
Location: East Croydon. We understand the importance of work-life balance with our employees working a hybrid solution of 60/40 office/home working
Salary: £27,372 plus £1,500 annual performance bonus
About you
- You will have a proven track record of delivering high standards of customer care in a similar role
- You must have experience of dealing with high level customer complaints
- You will have excellent letter writing skills, telephone manner and attention to detail
- You will be organised with strong administration skills
- Your IT skills will be strong and will be well versed in using MS Office packages, such as Word
- You must have the ability to problem solve autonomously or as part of a team
- You must be able to work under pressure in order to meet strict work timescales
- You may have Insurance/Motor background experience
- You may have working knowledge of the FCA
- You will have a good standard of general education, including Maths & English A-C GCSE or equivalent.
- Ideally educated to A level standard or equivalent
