The role of Customer Service Administrator is pivotal in our success and is the foundation on which we build strong and productive customer relationships. Key Duties :
Working collaboratively with the customer, sales, and operations teams to take each order through from placement to successful dispatch.- Taking incoming phone calls and processing orders including converting quotations where necessary.
- Assisting the customer with product choice and prices with alternatives where specific product is not available.
- Keeping the customer informed of the anticipated delivery date or their order.
- Assisting the customer with transport options and costs including VIPs when required.
- Arranging for special items and direct items to be ordered and codes created where necessary.
- Following through all open orders for the Internal Account Manager that you are allocated to and keeping the Internal Account Manager and customer updated with delivery dates.
- Checking regularly with the goods in system to review dates for incoming product and liaising with the operations co-ordinator on specials and works orders to ensure that you are fully up to date with sales order delivery dates.
- Proactively assisting the Internal Account Manager and sales team with the processing of orders in order to free up their time as much as possible.
- Providing a level of technical and product knowledge support
- Supporting the customer services manager with any one-off projects or tasks as required.
- Fully understand all other aspects of customer services so to be able to support and advice in any capacity across the team.
- Actively promote and encourage strong team relationships between operations and sales and customer services.
Person Specification
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced B2B customer service/ sales support role.- Professional friendly telephone manner proactively using the phone to resolve issues as first method of resolution.
- Passionate about customer service and is committed to “making it happen”.
- Contributes to team meetings with fun and engaging ideas.
- Be able to commute to our Dartford Head Office and Warehouse 5 days a week.
