Customer Services Assistant
£20,812 per annum pro rata
Hybrid working contract
25 hours per week
Temporary contract until March 2024
Are you an experienced and passionate Customer Service Assistant looking for a part time opportunity in Tamworth? Tamworth Borough Council’s customer service centre is at the heart of our council services, and we are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and flexible individual to join our friendly team.
As the Customer Service Assistant you will be responsible for:
· Resolving customer enquires via a variety of access channels, including face to face, over the phone, emails, or letters.
· Supporting the Customer Service Teams by undertaking a range of administrative duties as and when required.
· Answering and responding to enquiries at first point of contact, providing advice to customers, other departments and outside agencies who contact the Council.
· Summarise issues, provide clear resolution, and manage customer expectations.
· To ensure the Council’s post is received and is sent out on time.
· To open and close the Councils buildings as and when required.
As the Customer Services Assistant you will have the following:
· Excellent customer services skills both face to face and over the phone
· Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of our friendly team
· Have a methodical and organised approach
· Proven numeracy and literacy skills
· Competent in the use of office systems and software
· A good eye for detail and the ability to keep accurate and up to date records.
· A professional can do approach
· Flexible approach to working hours, and work locations with the ability to work at short notice as and when required
This is a hybrid working contract, there is a requirement for some of duties to be carried out at home and some on site. Site attendance will constitute more than 40% of available working time.
