Role Description:
To build the Extons brand, influencing the culture and improving the level of overall performance, ensuring a fair and supportive environment.
This role necessitates a solid understanding of employment law to ensure full compliance, ensuring senior managers understand and use the specified company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with the directors to develop a company appraisal system which engages and supports the succession/people plan.
- Update and maintain the company employee handbook.
- Coordinate recruitment process, accordingly, offering support across each department.
- Support and coach all department managers in the delivery of the company policies and procedures.
- Recruit internally and externally in compliance with current employment law to support the senior managers in developing their teams.
- Maintain and update company Sedex membership and prepare SMETA audits.
- Establish and ensure company values are agreed and embraced.
- Review of the company wellbeing and recognition program to deliver short medium- and long-term goals.
- Annual surveys and action plan to ensure consistent monitoring of employee engagement.
- Be a good natural leader and planner with excellent communication skills, be able to deliver information and ideas in a way that others will understand and engage with.
The ideal candidate:
- CIPD qualified to a minimum of Level 5
- Ability to manage complex Employee Relations Issues
- Challenge, motivate and inspire people to be the best they can be
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of employment legislation and adopting best practice.
- Demonstrates an efficient, highly organised, and structured style of working.
- Flexibility to work across shifts to ensure all employees have point of contact
