Are you looking for a seasonal job that’s full of FUN? Fancy working in our aquarium on the Jurassic Coast, where penguins and otters watch on as you go about your daily work?
Working here feels pretty unique and our customer service team are fizzing with fun and a vital ingredient in the guest experience! Therefore, we’re looking for someone who strives for the best, is guest focused, and isn't afraid to swim upstream!
What we are looking for
- You'll have loads of experience working in a customer facing environment
- Friendly and hardworking with a "can do" demeanour
- Have excellent communication and presentation skills
- Comfortable with public speaking and talking to large groups
- Fun, dynamic, and friendly personality
- Available to work weekends and bank holidays
In these varied roles you may be the first point of contact for our guests, offering a warm welcome, whether selling a memento of our guests amazing experience or supporting them to stock up on SEA LIFE related goodies, answering any questions guests may have and acting as a sales representative. You could even be working on the front line in our proud to serve Costa Coffee shop Café at Bandstand Bites or over at the Caribbean Cove Adventure Play Area, catering for our day visitors, kids’ parties or for special events.
On a typical day (if you can call it that) you could also be working with school visits, self-guided tours, or workshops for schools. Ensuring our guests have an intimate Ocean experience through fun, up close storytelling with hands on interaction. Providing interactive quality creature feeding presentations and talks to our guests, inspiring the future generation. You could also be assisting the site displays team with animal feeds or dressing up as a costume character.
This is a seasonal, fixed term position to support us during the summer. Hours will vary dependent on the time of year, working during school holidays and weekends in particular. Earliest required start time will be 8am and latest finish time will be 6.30pm. Flexibility is essential as availability of work will vary throughout the season.
