Harrowden Turf Ltd is the UK’s largest grower of Turf, Wildflower and Sedum Matting and distributes through a range of sales channels. The Head Office has created the opening for a Customer Service Assistant role not only covering general sales but also with focus on the various channels we operate.
Job Description
- Deal with all incoming enquiries regarding consumer orders via telephone and e-mail, ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely manner.
- Utilise best customer service skills to resolve any customer queries or complaints
- Proactively communicate with other team members to ensure the smooth running of the business
Requirements / Skills & Experience required
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work requirements
- Good organisational skills.
- Good timekeeping.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literate. Good working knowledge of and competence in Microsoft Office applications– Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Customer service experience is essential.
- Excellent telephone manner along with good spelling and grammar.
- Sales, marketing and account management experience.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Hours
08.30am – 5.00pm, 40 hours per week (with ½hr unpaid lunch break), 28 days holiday, including bank holidays.

Salary commensurate with experience.
