Job Location: British Red Cross, Unit 1, East Pool, Tolvaddon Business Park, Redruth, Cornwall TR14 0HX
Hours: 20 per week
Salary £20,076 based on 35 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed term for 12 months
Could you be the first point of contact for our Mobility Aids Service and make a difference to people's lives?
We are looking for a Service Assistant to join our Mobility Aids Service (MAS) based in the Cornwall area.
The aim of our service is to provide a range of standard wheelchairs and mobility equipment to people who need them within the local community. The work you will do will be crucial to the organisation, and therefore vital to the lives of those in crisis.
A day in the life of a Service Assistant:
- You will provide administrative and operational support to the Mobility Aids Service. This may include face to face queries, taking calls, processing invoices and operating across different systems.
- You will ensure that the delivery service, stock control systems and other administrative systems meet the needs of the service whilst maintaining smooth and efficient operations.
To be a successful Service Assistant:
- Are you IT literate? Do you know your way around Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn and work with an online stock management system?
- Do you have customer service experience and are confident dealing with cash and card payments?
- Are you experienced in working in a fast paced environment with changing priorities?
- Can you work in an efficient manner with minimum supervision?
A full, clean UK driving licence with over 2 years driving experience is essential for this role.
