Job Description


Purpose of Position

Our Associate Director of Network Change Management, Security & Quality is looking for an Apprentice to join the Amazon Fulfillment Team.

Key Tasks/Areas of responsibility

  • Responsible for ensuring the following week's Amazon plan is updated. Taking into consideration FC closures, Adhocs Slots to clear backlog and the usual fixed slots agreed with Amazon
  • Getting involved with the Amazon slot planning and updating the shared document between NOps, Linehaul and Planners.
  • Monitoring the Linehaul vendor and updating the linehaul score card and challenging linehaul to any missed slots or failing to report any defects on trailers/ units.
  • Working with Linehaul daily to manage any issues related to driver availability and communicating to Amazon of the expected issues.
  • Ensuring the Amazon Inbound Operation does not go over the agreed trailer limit of 300 trailers and plan contingencies.
  • Monitoring the missed scans and claims for the Amazon parcels and addressing this to the Hub Management.
  • Trailer fill.
  • Communicating with the hub management and addressing any concerns that may cause issues with their operation i.e. backlog of trailers (Yard Space) or drop in volume (PPMH)
  • Trailer compliance Checks.
  • Challenging security when we have issues with trailers at our storage parks i.e. trailers departing into Amazon FC with the padlock still on.
  • Managing the Amazon Universe and supporting the team in compliance checks
  • Supporting in clearing the pending investigation queries and Action Pot.
  • Understanding the importance of Manifest and Booking compliance.
  • Understanding the rules and regulations of how LL and PL trailers should be loaded.
  • Participating in the weekly Amazon calls to address any major concerns relating to DPD Amazon Inbound operation.
  • Addressing any sudden issues to Amazon Roc

Qualifications


What we’re looking for;

  • Familiar with Google Workspace (GMail/GSheet) or Microsoft Office package (Word and Excel primarily)
  • Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • High attention to detail to produce accurate and quality work
  • An individual who has the ability to welcome and adapt to change, within a forward thinking business.
  • Demonstrate the core DPD DNA values of Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Candidates must have achieved GCSE/Level 2 in Maths and English or be willing to complete this during the apprenticeship.
  • Apprentices must have achieved a pass at GCSE/Level 2 in Maths and English before they can complete their final exams.
  • Providers for the chosen qualification may also set their own eligibility criteria that candidates must meet.
