LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time (35 hours)
WORKING PATTERN: Office-based (minimum of 6 months) then becoming hybrid[ (office/home). A variety of flexible shifts are available within our core opening hours - Mon to Fri: 8:30am to 7pm and Sat: 9am to 1pm.

We’re currently looking for caring people to join our contact centre teams to take inbound calls from customers experiencing financial difficulty.
Black Horse and Lex Autolease are the UK’s leading providers of motor & leisure finance, with a suite of Hire Purchase, PCP and Leasing products.
As a Customer Consultant you’ll be:
Handling each customers' circumstances with empathy, understanding their situation fully to help them back to financial health as quickly as possible.
Learning to identify where customers are vulnerable and provide the best outcome for their financial situation.
Owning and resolving some complex customer situations, showing great attention to detail, and applying appropriate solutions based on their individual needs.
Job Description
We have a comprehensive training programme* and clearly defined career journeys to progress to a selection of more senior Customer Consultant roles, with promotion opportunities being available for colleagues as they build their skills and experience.
We’ll also support you to progress into a coaching or leadership role, or join our Apprenticeship scheme, if that is something that appeals to you.

What you’ll need
Our customers need to feel safe in your hands! You will be responsible for handling customer circumstances with strong empathy skills, understanding their situation whilst putting yourself in the customer shoes and considering their experience throughout, whilst helping them back to financial health as quickly as possible
No financial experience is required (we'll train you), we just need you to be passionate about helping people, the ability to communicate well (especially on the phone) and the desire to learn.
