Customer Collections Advisor

This is an office-based contact centre role, with a potential for hybrid working once probation is complete. Based in a bespoke environment, with free car parking, we can offer

We have full time (35 hrs/week) permanent roles (subject to satisfactory completion of 6-month probation period). You will work a combination of late and early shifts across our opening hours - Monday - Thursday 08:00am to 8pm, Friday 08:00am to 6pm. Occasional Saturdays 9am to 1pm.
We’ re looking for resilient people with a positive can-do attitude, who can engage our customers and help them achieve the right outcome to become debt free. You will be the real first point of contact for our customers taking inbound and making outbound calls.
The ideal candidate will be able to build a rapport with our customers and negotiate fair, affordable, repayment plans or settlements, to suit individual situations, with no judgement and no pre-written scripts. We want the best outcomes for all our customers.
Identifying financial hardship, vulnerability and taking time to support our customers, listening and thinking for yourself is key.
You will take ownership of your own allocated diary and liaise with customers over the phone, by letter, sms and email, building lasting relationships with our customers.
About you –
· You must possess excellent communication skills and be computer literate.
· You will demonstrate empathy and have an understanding for the customer’s needs.
· You will have a passion for customer service and be a team player.
· You will have strong problem-solving skills as well as influencing and negotiation skills.
· You will work to achievable targets and understand KPI’s in support of the customer and the business.
Previous customer service & preferable telephony experience, either call centre or face to face would be preferred.
