Customer Appointments Manager - £36,333 - £39,033
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and self-motivated manager to join the Cambridgeshire Registration Service as Customer Appointments Manager.
The Service provides core statutory services for the official recording of key events (birth and death registrations, legal notices, marriage ceremonies, civil partnerships, citizenship ceremonies) and provision of copy certificates, in addition to non-statutory, income generating services such as naming and renewal of vows ceremonies. The Service is proactive, ambitious and strives to remain at the forefront of service delivery nationally.
As Customer Appointments Manager you will be responsible for leading all operational and development aspects of the Customer Appointments function within the Service. You will be required to effectively manage and motivate staff, monitor performance to inform service delivery within an allocated budget, develop strong working partnerships and engage with stakeholders as well as promote the work of the service.
The role requires an individual to have knowledge and understanding of Registration legislation and procedures, and excellent management skills. You will need to be a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and have a collaborative style enabling you to work in partnership with agencies, service users and providers. A proven track record of high levels of customer service is essential, and an ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage, persuade and influence at all levels.
You will be required to work anywhere in the County based on operational needs, so will need the ability to travel from your Cambridge base.
In return the Council offers a variety of benefits including Local Government Pension Scheme, a generous annual leave allowance, comprehensive employee discounts scheme, relevant travel expenses, Employee Assistance Programme (access to free support 24 hours a day) as well as opportunities for learning and development.
