An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Direct Payment team which is being expanded as part of an ongoing improvement plan for Direct Payments at Sheffield City Council. We have a number of positions available are:
- 1 permanent at 37 hours
- 1 temporary maternity cover up to 11/02/2024
- 1 temporary up to 30/04/2024.
We are looking for conscientious, financially minded people who have excellent I.T and administrative skills. The role is primarily to audit Direct Payment accounts, making sure a personal budget is spent in line with current legislation, as well as invoicing for the return of unspent monies. The role includes case management and requires a high level of attention to detail.
The new Direct Payment team’s aim is to improve and streamline the Direct Payments process for both staff and clients. The team are regularly contacted with queries on Direct Payments and part of the team expansion will be to offer detailed advice and support to internal staff and external customers, ensuring the best outcomes and experience for all.
Therefore this job role will involve engaging and working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple teams, as well as external stakeholders such as Managed Account Companies. We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent communication skills and a strong team player, who can navigate complex queries.
