Overview of the role

To support the Wholesale Finance team by updating, maintaining, and creating a variety of reports and in an accurate and timely manner. To be responsible for the day to day processing of new account applications in line with current external regulations / internal policies and conducting licence checks. Monitoring the group email inbox, dealing with queries, communicating with and supporting the wider business and external customers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Responsibility for updating, maintaining, or creating reports or other pieces of work as directed by line manager or other members of the Wholesale Finance Team
  • Supporting the wider business with relevant requests, e.g. Sales team, AR team, Project Manager etc
  • Day to day responsibility for setting up new customer accounts, following internal policies, external regulations, and within agreed SLAs
  • Day to day responsibility for updating customer databases and trackers
  • Daily monitoring of group inbox, and responding to queries promptly or escalating where required
  • Conducting regular licence checks of customers in line with current regulations
  • Excellent communication required with all key internal and external stakeholders (e.g. Alliance for external)
  • Excellent customer service required when dealing with external customers during the account set up process

Key knowledge and skills required:

  • Experience in Awards / OpenAccounts / Microsoft software
  • Good communication skills with both internal and external customers
  • Not afraid to challenge stakeholders where required
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good time management skills

Problem solving & Change:

  • Make decisions regarding setting up customer accounts by following process notes and internal policies, querying any issues with the relevant stakeholder
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly planning of own workload
  • Identifying where efficiencies can be made within own team processes
  • Being proactive when there are changes or new projects that could impact on own team processes or workload
