Job description
At Catch22, we are proud of our reputation as a modern and progressive employer. Our 1,300 colleagues and 300 volunteers work at every stage of the social welfare cycle, supporting over 60,000 individuals from cradle to career.
In Social Justice, we work with young people and adults in custody and in the community, providing a range of services including offender management and resettlement, mentoring, veterans in custody, victim services, gangs work and youth justice. We believe that with effective support mechanisms and the correct interventions, we can change service user’s ideology, helping them desist from crime and reach their true potential.
In HMP Thameside, Catch22 provides Offender Management services and support for adult male prisoners from entry to prison right through to their transition back into community life.
An exciting opportunity to work for the Offender Management unit (OMU) at HMP Thameside, the only OMU in the country delivered by a third sector organisation since its opening in 2012. Following a recent Prison inspection, Charlie Taylor (HM Chief Inspector of Prisons) described this service to be "the best provision (he) had seen during the last year".
We are seeking a driven individual who strives for best practice and is passionate in making a difference to people’s lives. In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of a high performing Offender Management Service with its function to identify, assess, address, and reduce risks of sentenced prisoners, whilst also motivating them to engage positively within custodial regime.
Want to be part of an organisation who is committed to the development and progression of their staff? As of September 2022, 73% of our management group have progressed from frontline roles within Catch22, which allows us to offer progression opportunities for staff under the leadership of managers with frontline experience.
Want to be part of this amazing team? Will you be committed to supporting and empowering service users to reintegrate into the community? If yes, we would like to hear from you.
You can find further information on the OMU service through our website.
