The CSR team sits in the wider Corporate Marketing team to develop and deliver socially impactful CSR partnerships, programmes and campaigns, working alongside other specialist teams responsible for PR & Communications within Corporate Marketing as well as others across the business (Government Relations, Sustainability, People team). Social value (CSR) is becoming an ever more important factor for brand reputation and forms a core pillar of Samsung’s global strategy.
Role and Responsibilities
Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day coordination and delivery of programmes on behalf of Corporate Marketing (Solve for Tomorrow)
  • Management of day-to-day relationships, with oversight on output and improvement
  • Work collaboratively on action plans and optimisation in line with CSR strategy
  • Handling partnership renewal, invoicing, asset gathering and work stream delivery
  • Monitoring and tracking reach and impact across partners
  • Run special projects and events
  • Input into reporting decks
  • Ensure Samsung brand consistency across partners, updating and maintaining assets/content
  • Advise on partner and programme direction and action plans and engaging with industry thought leadership
  • Attend industry huddle events and stay across updates in the social impact, education and online safety space to feedback to the team and suggest opportunities
  • Act as a point of contact to Samsung’s Government Relations team
  • Support the CSR team with wider programme delivery (e.g. Solve for Tomorrow and Solve for Tomorrow: Next Gen) including compiling reports and presentations needed to share with internal & external stakeholders
  • Work across the business to continue to innovative and find strategic opportunities for CSR
Skills and Qualifications
To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills (writing and reviewing comms messaging)
  • Strong numeracy/commercial competence (budget management and KPI / performance tracking)
  • Good skills in Microsoft office packages (strong PowerPoint and presentation skills)
  • Excellent project management skills, ideally with experience in handling day to day operations of a CSR programme for young people or tech for good projects
  • Ideally CSR programming experience or comms/marketing experience, working for a global brand or agency
  • Experience leading partnerships
Overview of Solve for Tomorrow
Solve for Tomorrow is Samsung’s global CSR programme, created as part of the ongoing commitment to support the next generation of innovators through education.
In the UK, it is giving every young person the opportunity to tackle some of society's most challenging issues within the four themes of Education, Sustainability, DE&I, Social Isolation, using technology.
The overarching programme is split into two age groups:
Solve for Tomorrow - for 16-25 year olds comprising a competition and free year round events and online learning courses to help to develop young people’s confidence, capabilities and connections.
Solve for Tomorrow: Next Gen – for 11-15 year olds comprising free video lesson and resources delivered by teachers in schools across the UK, teaching young people the principles of design thinking and about careers in tech. The young people are invited to enter a competition on their tech-for-good idea.
