With the opening of a new office situated in central London – to support our EMEA customers and in order to fuel our growth – we are currently looking for an ambitious open minded CSR/ESG Consultant to work with customers to drive value and build long term partnerships between them and VPWhite.

As a CSR/ESG Consultant at VPWhite, you will be responsible for working with some of the biggest brands in the world to identify, support and deliver their sustainability and corporate social responsibility strategies. You will be providing a best-in-class advisory, technical leadership and strategic thinking surrounding VPWhite’s customer’s CSR/EGS initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Our CSR-ESG team offers personalised support services to our clients and constantly adapts to the very dynamic context of the CSR-ESG world. As we have opened an office in London, UK, we are looking for applicants with at least 2 years of experience in the areas of CSR (sustainability, carbon management, CSR reporting & auditing) and who enjoys the entrepreneurial adventure to help us develop activities. You will be reporting to the UK Services and Support team and be supported by the CSR Services team in Paris.

You will be responsible for the following:

Strategy Development

  • Identify emerging sustainability and CSR trends considering market opportunities, investor expectations and other stakeholder requirements to feed our CSR expertise, drive innovation within our practice community and anticipate the future needs of our clients,
  • Support the growth of VP&White’s activities on the UK market, representing VP&White during software demos with clients and preparing proposals to bids.

Reporting & Disclosure

  • Help clients to meet the SECR UK regulation or voluntary CSR-ESG reporting frameworks such as GRESB, EPRA, CDP, GRI & SASB,
  • Manage the client’s CSR database, collecting / checking quantitative and qualitative information from stakeholders,
  • Manage and report environmental data, especially Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions data,
  • Support the client in the implementation of CSR reporting software solutions,
  • Support the development and alignment of sustainability critical metrics that will be tracked; and engage with businesses to measure and report on these metrics,
  • Support the production and delivery of relevant data analysis,
  • Lead strategic projects with clients to provide expertise, build and implement ambitious sustainability data collection processes,

Position based in our office in central London.

Skills and Experience

A successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 2-3 years’ relevant experience, ideally encompassing consulting / audit and/or client-side CSR experience.
  • A bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or other environmental discipline such as environmental management, sustainability or climate change.
  • Proven expertise in voluntary CSR-ESG reporting frameworks such as CDP, GRESB, EPRA TCFD, SASB and GRI,
  • Technical knowledge related to CSR strategy and reporting services (GHG calculation and reporting, science-based targets, net zero strategies),
  • Experience in administration and maintenance of sustainability data management systems (Cority, Enablon, Intelex or other)
  • Skills in MS Excel, SQL, Tableau etc. for analysis, review and reporting of data, ideally related to Sustainability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, proficient in customer environment
  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English
