The opportunity The CBTS Strategic Market Support is a key role in the Cross Border Travel Support Team (CBTS) and reports into the Director of CBTS. CBTS is part of Risk Management. Strategic Market Support is focused on aligning with specific regional needs of our clients, resulting in value add to the business while mitigating risk to EY. This role will support any new initiative or segment focus that arises, working to understand the emerging business needs and how best CBTS can support these needs within the global framework. On an ongoing and regular basis this role will handle the support for the Meetings and Events team with any cross border initiatives. Remote work support will be a part of this role. This support will continue to change as EY embarks to understand the possibilities. This role will take on special projects at a leadership level on an as needed basis. Projects include but are not limited the assessment of new approaches to how we work. Projects will always include the Operations leader. Duties and activities will change as the business needs change. Your key responsibilities Implement CBTS Operating Model for any new market segment or specialty group as the needs arise. This will be a significant focus when these needs are identified Development of new approaches to workflow with the Operations leader of CBTS. Acts as a point of contact for the Meetings and Event team to assess and assist with cross border needs. Will work with Director of CBTS on Remote work. This includes answering inquiries as they come in, connecting with leadership as needed to explain the risks. Support policies as countries decide how to approach remote work and work on development teams as needed. Coach and develop team members Skills and attributes for success Self-assured individual with confidence to convey complex information in a way that can be easily comprehended by our customer (e.g., risks, costs, engagement economics) Strong track record in leading diverse, cross-border teams Experience working in a professional services or similar environment Strong education foundation or relevant work experience Able to develop strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, all areas of business and supporting functions Able to proactively identify required activity and effectively self-manage Diplomatic, confidential, tactful and able to conduct yourself with a calm professional manner at all times Partner with the business to understand and consult with them on their business and build a collaborative working relationship Able to probe/ask leading questions to understand the situation fully and provide the appropriate guidance. Draw on experience when applying concepts and guidelines Mobility experience with a strong understanding of immigration and tax issues (Payroll, Income Tax, Social Security etc) derived from having worked in a Mobility, Expatriate tax or Immigration role. Knowledge can be specific to a country or range of countries or they may have advanced knowledge of either immigration or tax. This is a plus but not necessary. Strong financial knowledge To qualify for the role you must have Exceptional leadership and influencing skills Be a strategic thinker Excellent business acumen and commercial mindset Good judgement when to intervene with a case / situation Where relevant in this role understand the external market, including managing culturally diverse clients Proficient with Firm standard technology including Windows, Excel, Word, Intranet and Case Management tools Global mindset, with the ability to work and consult in a virtual environment Ideally, you’ll also have Experience in a professional services organization What we look for Good presentation skills, professional presence able to interact with all levels and convey complicated material.
