Full Package - Tier 1 package: Entry level Tier 1 CSIs will start at Band 3F circa £28,626 per annum, plus 15% shift allowance, increasing upon completion of the stage 2 training programme & attaining competency as a Tier 2 CSI to the Tier 2 package which will start at Band 3G circa £32,287 per annum, plus 18% shift allowance, 5% on call allowance and 15.5% criticality allowance; increasing to Tier 3 package which will start at Band 3H circa £36,963 per annum plus of 18% shift allowance, 5% on call allowance and 12.5% criticality allowance (subject to progression) plus benefits.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) is making a significant, multi-year investment in our Forensic Services and is transforming our wide array of forensic disciplines, to create a forward looking, accredited service which delivers proportionate, timely services that support effective crime investigation for the populations of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
As part of the overall investment into Forensic Services within Thames Valley Police, we are seeking to attract and recruit CSIs at all levels to join our team. . New state-of-the-art forensics centre planned for Thames Valley – TVP Careers.

In addition to the remuneration and benefits offered with this position, the CSI role has a linked grade progression and development pathway (achieved through additional training and Continuous Professional Development, which will include Crime Scene Management and Leadership skills at Tier 3).

Vetting. All posts require a level of Police Vetting as per the National Vetting Code of Practice.
