Krum Gelato is the new project of Nutmeg Group, from the owners of Da Noi Chester and Augusto Pizzeria, opening in June 2023 at the Cross in Chester City Centre.
We are now ready to create the team of people to work alongside our Gelato Master Emanuele, who is joining us from Milan and deliver his award-winning gelato to all people visiting our shop on Watergate Street. We are looking for three staff members to join the team from the beginning of June.
We will be holding an open day for interviews on Tuesday 30 May to pre-select our ideal candidates. Timing for the sessions will be communicated in due course.
As a member of the team you would be responsible for exceptional customer service, ensuring every customer has an enjoyable, memorable experience. In this role you will greet customers and provide them with great customer service, and perform tasks including serving gelato, assisting Emanuele with his daily tasks, keeping our brand new shop and storage area clean and tidy, be active on our social channels and so on.
Main Responsibilities:
-Greet customers and provide excellent customer service during volume, fast paced demand.
-Product knowledge-ability to explain Krum's specific product details;
-Manage cash register;
-Restock orders and keep inventory assisting with ordering new stock as required;
-Restock all confectionery, utensils and all other inventory to provide day to day running of Krum
-Maintain exceptional hygiene standards as well as demonstrate food preparation skills following health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products;
-Store frozen ice cream in appropriate containers, in designated refrigeration areas;
-Ensure that appropriate maintenance is performed on utensils and ice cream making machinery;
-To open/close Mayas Treats as required including assisting in closing of the cash registers (senior);
Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Able to work alone or in a team
Customer service skills
Food preparation experience desirable

Salary – Depending on experience, decision post interview;
