Credit Research Analyst – London
Aviva Investors is hiring two credit analysts to supplement our existing asset management team in London. These analyst positions will be focused on two specific sectors, namely real estate and asset backed securities (ABS). This is an opportunity for an ambitious individual to progress their career in a dynamic environment, taking responsibility for the analysis of and recommendations on highly attractive asset classes that we envisage can provide strong outperformance in the current market environment.
A bit about the job:
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for covering debt issuers in the real estate or ABS sectors with a geographic focus on European companies. You will use your judgment and experience to make fund management recommendations. You will work collaboratively with research colleagues across AI, fund managers and other AI research and strategy teams to formulate and underpin security selection recommendations.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
Experience of investment grade and/or high yield debt capital markets from a buy side asset manager, sell side investment bank or rating agency
The ability to deliver investment opinions that contribute to superior, risk adjusted results
Quickly able to develop and build relevant modelling tools
Authoritative within area of expertise alongside a good level of broader macroeconomic knowledge
Well-developed problem solving, decision making and communication skills

In this role you’ll be ‘Certified’ under the Financial Conduct Authority / Prudential Regulation Authority’s Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR). This means that we’ll need to complete some regulatory background checks on you before you take up your role and we’ll need to ask you some questions on an annual basis to make sure you remain ‘fit and proper’ and competent to carry out your role. We’ll provide training on what holding a SMCR role means when you join us and annually thereafter.
