About MLM
We are an award-winning SME property management company based in Borehamwood. Our core business is managing blocks of flats predominantly in and around London and the home counties. Over the last few years, we have also been steadily growing our portfolio of managed properties further afield in Birmingham, Leeds, Bradford and the surrounding areas. We manage the communal areas of buildings and work closely with our clients, leaseholders and contractors to ensure our buildings are well managed and comply with both legal and Health and Safety requirements. The Role
We have an opening in our accounts department for an Apprentice in our Credit Control team. This is an exciting opportunity for a school or college leaver who has a keen interest in working within accountancy and finance. This position will enable the successful candidate to gain valuable experience working within a busy accounts team in the property sector whilst gaining a recognised qualification. MLM are an approved AAT employer.
The role includes the following responsibilities:
- Issue accurate documentation to tenants to collect funds due, including relevant legal notices
- Undertake client and tenant liaison and attend meetings if required
- Chase debt as required
- Resolving internal and external queries and complaints
- Provide reporting where required
- Arrange payment concessions where appropriate
- Process Direct Debits
- Initiating agreed legal action and liaising with solicitors until case is resolved
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
· Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel
· Confident communicator
· Strong numerical skills
· Can work well independently or as part of the team
· Organised
· Friendly and helpful
· GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent)
The Package
· Salary £18,000
· 25 days annual leave (plus UK bank holidays)
· Study support towards AAT Level 2.
