IPS are pleased to be assisting this global insurance business with their search for an Insurance
Accounts/Credit Control Assistant
Based within the global head office in London this role will support the credit control manager and
wider finance team with a day to day responsibility for monitoring and managing the insurance
ledger balances
Daily activities within this role will include:
* Ensure UK outstanding ledger balances and unallocated cash, are kept to a minimum.
* Production of credit control reports for Aged Debtors and Unallocated Cash, including commentary, plus ad hoc financial reporting.
* Production and remittance of statements of account / ledger downloads to brokers and companies. Actively pursue responses, agreement and settlement of debtor balances. Resolve discrepancies.
* Reconciliation and agreement of incoming statements of account, and accurate allocation of payments to insurance ledger transactions.
* Raising and checking of new payees and payments in accordance with financial procedures and policies.
* Liaising with external insurance market entities, and support of internal departments and other offices.
The successful candidate will have 1/2 years insurance industry experience, ideally within a credit control or finance capacity although a good understanding of the London insurance market is more relevant.
