Role: Credit Risk Credit Controller
Salary: £25,000 - 27,000 /yr plus benefits
Job Location: Chorley

We're on the lookout for a Credit Risk Credit Controller to join our friendly, fun, and hardworking Finance Department at Elite.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of our credit control function and managing your own ledger.

We are seeking someone with exceptional collaboration and communication skills, as you will be the primary point of contact for resolving both internal and external queries. Additionally, your expertise in credit vetting will be instrumental in assessing new customer orders and ensuring a robust and reliable credit control process.

A day in the life of a Credit Risk Credit Controller at Elite looks a little like this:

• Credit control for multiple companies within the Group.
• Training of new team members.
• Chasing of outstanding balances via phone, letter and email.
• Actively pursue direct debit sign up by customers.
• Active analysis of total balance movements and ageing of debtors with recommended action.
• Use of Sage 200, Credit Hound and Microsoft Office.
• Query resolution and escalation following chase procedures and policies.
• Submitting manual credits and invoices processed from billing.
• Develop relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Dispute management & stakeholder management.
• General account housekeeping.
• Contribution into projects as requested by the Transactional Manager and other parts of the business.

Role requirements

• An effective team player with a precise approach and close attention to detail.
• Intermediate level proficiency in Excel.
• Competency in using Word, Outlook Email/Calendar, PowerPoint etc.
• Experience with Sage 200.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills, with both clients and colleagues.
• A problem-solving, solution-based mentality. ·
• Calm and considered when working under pressure.
• Desirable:
  • Experience in multi-company processing.
  • Experience working within the telecoms/IT industry.
