A well-known and reputable services business based on the outskirts of the Harrogate area is recruiting a Senior Credit Controller to join their fast-paced finance team. On offer is a salary of up to £28,000, alongside excellent benefits including 22 days holiday per year (plus bank holidays, that increase with service). This is a fantastic role for an experienced Credit Controller to join a leading business who will offer the successful candidate the chance to work for an employer of choice within the local area.
Reporting into the Credit Manager, key responsibilities for the Senior Credit Controller will include:
- Building relationships to ensure cash collection on a day to day basis, both over the phone and via email
- Dealing with queries and any problematic accounts
- Checking company credit scores and reviewing applications
- Setting up terms and conditions of credit
- Putting accounts on stop/hold when necessary and working closely with the Credit Manager
- Daily posting and allocating of receipts, bank reconciliation and processing of sales invoices
- Weekly sales reconciliation and month-end reporting
- Other ad-hoc credit control/sales ledger duties
The successful Credit Controller will have an excellent telephone manner with strong customer service and negotiation skills and will have proven experience within all aspects of the credit control process. To be successful in this Credit Controller role, individuals will ideally:
- Have previous credit control and ideally sales ledger and cash allocation experience
- Be able to work towards targets and deadlines whilst retaining a high level of customer service
- Have strong IT skills and will be comfortable with Excel
- Be enthusiastic, confident and keen to learn new skills
- Be able to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
