We have a rare, exciting opportunity for a Credit Advisory Specialist to join our successful team. This is a client facing role whose main responsibility is supporting the Relationship Managers by sourcing & structuring bespoke / complex lending solutions for Private Banking clients.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify, structure, negotiate and underwrite complex / high value new credit opportunities for UHNW / Global Priority Clients/Family Offices
  • Source new opportunities via internal HSBC Group collaboration and/or via external networks of professionals
  • Understand, analyse and structure lending against bespoke or trophy assets
  • Think creatively about potential lending solutions when conventional structures are not possible
  • Identify new product opportunities
  • Review credit limits and monitor collateral while balancing portfolio’s risk-return
Requirements

To be succesful in this role, you will:

  • A strong lending background, ideally in corporate, commercial or private banking
  • Ability to understand client needs and create bespoke solutions to suit
  • Strong credit analytical, portfolio management, risk management & interpersonal skills
  • High quality collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment
  • Be able to present and articulate complex transactions in a manner that is understood by all stakeholders.
  • Be confident and a strong negotiator in dealing with UHNW individuals and their complex demands and requirements

This role is to be based at Cork Street, London. On-site presence will be dictated by the role but on average 3 days a week.
