We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the Housekeeping Department as Floor Housekeeper.
RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The successful candidate will be committed to ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas for which responsible are maintained to company standard. As a Floor Housekeeper, responsibilities also include:
- To prepare room list for room attendants and fairly allocate the work load to staff
- To check all rooms and corridors are cleaned to the standards required
- To note any faults/repair work that needs attention and to ensure the relevant departments are informed and follow up that the work is carried out
- To ensure all the room attendants, floor porters, valets, linen room staff turn up for work on time and are properly dressed
- To liaise with the guest services to ensure VIP procedures are maintained in a consistent manner
- To ensure service areas are always clean and tidy and are properly stocked for guests rooms etc. soap, linen etc.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant experience in a 5* property is desirable
- Excellent customer service skills
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
